Job Description:
We are seeking an intern for our Peace Security and Gender team in West Africa. The intern will have the opportunity to work on various projects and support the team in their efforts to promote peace, security, and gender equality in the region.
Responsibilities:
- Support the team in research and analysis of peace and security issues in West Africa.
- Provide administrative and logistical support for workshops, meetings, and events.
- Contribute to the development of reports, presentations, and other documents.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure effective communication and coordination.
Requirements:
- Currently studying political, legal, or social sciences, organizational development, peace and conflict studies, international relations or a comparable field.
- Familiarity with international cooperation and peace and security issues.
- Knowledge of German Feminist Foreign/Development Policy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Office, MS Teams, SharePoint, etc.).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and German (strong drafting skills in German).
- Ability to work independently, with strong intercultural competence and communication skills.
- Enjoy working in a multicultural team.
Remuneration:
The monthly stipend for this position is €2.064,- (gross). There is also a monthly expatriation allowance (gross), predetermined by GIZ, based on the country of assignment.
