Job Position: Drivers' Trainer

Location: Lagos


Job Responsibilities:

As a Drivers' Trainer, your role will involve:

- Conducting driving skill tests for recruitment and ensuring drivers/riders are fit for work

- Organizing regular training sessions for drivers/riders in the region

- Supervising accident scenes, protecting the company's image, and providing accurate reports on accidents

- Ensuring the proper use of vehicle checklists for all vehicles

- Acting as the front-line support for drivers, addressing on-the-road challenges such as vehicle faults and interactions with law enforcement agencies

- Performing quality control checks on vehicles in the workshop before handing them over to drivers to prevent accidents

- Evaluating accidents or vehicle damage and providing comprehensive reports to management

- Serving as a liaison between drivers and transport/logistics managers

- Cultivating responsible attitudes toward safe vehicle operation among drivers

- Creating a working database for all drivers/riders in the region

- And much more, depending on the specific challenges of the region


Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for this position, candidates should meet the following criteria:

- Graduation in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent field

- Minimum of two (2) years of work experience in a similar role

- Knowledge of fleet management will be considered an advantage

- Driving experience and a valid driver's license (ability to drive manual and automatic transmission)

- Good knowledge of vehicle repair and maintenance

- Solid understanding of engine systems and their operation

- Ability to impart knowledge and demonstrate integrity

- Positive attitude towards work, challenges, and problem-solving

- Computer literacy, good communication, and presentation skills
