Summary of Objective:
The Pastry Chef at Grabbo Grills is responsible for managing the pastry section of the kitchen in collaboration with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef. They will oversee production, develop seasonal offerings, and ensure the creation of high-quality pastry dishes that adhere to standard recipes and presentations. Additionally, the Pastry Chef will assist in maintaining par stocks of pastry and desserts, prioritize cleanliness and hygiene, and contribute to the overall success of the pastry and bakery section.
Job Functions and Responsibilities:
1. Manage day-to-day operations of the pastry and bakery section.
2. Prepare a variety of goods such as cakes, cookies, pies, bread, etc., following both traditional and modern recipes.
3. Demonstrate expertise in producing all baked goods.
4. Develop and create new ideas and items for the Pastry Kitchen.
5. Collaborate with the Executive Chef to introduce innovative desserts and enhance the restaurant's menu.
6. Ensure excellent quality throughout the dessert offerings.
7. Follow proper handling and temperature guidelines for all food products.
