Competition Overview:

NASME presents the 2023 Youth Empowerment Business Scheme Competition, offering a chance to win One Million Naira (N1,000,000) and many more exciting opportunities. The application period begins on June 01, 2023, and ends on June 21, 2023.


Who Should Apply?

We are looking for ten (10) final applicants who meet the following criteria:


1. Young, Patriotic, and Passionate Nigerian Citizen:

   - Age: 15 to 29 years old (in accordance with Nigeria's National Youth Policy 2019-2023).


2. Residence:

   - Must reside in any of the 36 States or the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in Nigeria.


3. Problem-solving Business:

   - The business should solve a unique problem or offer a new/better approach to solving an existing problem.

   - Businesses targeting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) or addressing local challenges will have an added advantage.


4. Stage of Business:

   - The business must be beyond the idea stage and at the proof of concept or early-stage with the entrepreneur working on it full-time.


5. Preferred Sectors:

   - The business should operate in one of the following sectors: ICT; Agriculture; Manufacturing; Food & Beverage; Hospitality; Creatives; or Professional Services.


6. Age of Business:

   - The business must be less than five (5) years old from the date of incorporation.


7. Profitability and Scaling Potential:

   - The business must be for profit and demonstrate potential for scaling.
