Empowering Young Agri-Entrepreneurs: BATCN Foundation's Farmers for the Future Program Grants N10 Million



Introduction:

The British American Tobacco Nigeria Foundation (BATNF) is paving the way for young agricultural entrepreneurs with the Farmers for the Future (F4F) Grant. This program offers aspiring Agri-business owners a chance to receive equity-free capital and comprehensive support to grow their ventures. Implemented in collaboration with the NYSC and FATE Foundation, F4F targets National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members, aligning with BATNF's commitment to nurturing sustainable agriculture among the youth.


Curriculum Overview:

The F4F program is a virtual endeavor that equips participants with essential knowledge, strategies, skills, and tools to thrive in the Agribusiness sector. Leading experts and professionals from the Agribusiness and entrepreneurship field guide participants, fostering networking and collaborative learning. This dynamic learning experience combines interactive virtual sessions, workshops, case studies, plenary sessions, and group activities.


The curriculum empowers aspiring entrepreneurs with insights into diverse market opportunities within the Agribusiness value chain and provides guidance on building structured business models for sustainable growth. It covers a range of topics, including:


1. Entrepreneurship Mindset

2. Design Thinking, Innovation, and Problem-Solving

3. Business Plan Development

4. Business Model Canvas

5. Product Development Strategies

6. Marketing and Digital Marketing Strategies

7. Business Operations Management

8. Financial Literacy

9. Business Pitch Skills

Thanks to the generous support of the British American Tobacco Nigeria Foundation, the program is entirely free for entrepreneurs who successfully pass both application stages. This scholarship covers all course fees, course materials, data support, and post-program assistance.


Eligibility:

This virtual training is exclusively for Corp members in the Agribusiness sector with less than three months remaining in their service year. Eligibility will be verified during the shortlisting and selection process.

Step I:

Step II:

After reviewing all applications, 50 candidates will be shortlisted for a 10-20 minute phone/video interview. From there, the final selection will identify 20 applicants who will join the program.
