Job Title: Anaesthesia Trainee

 We are currently seeking qualified individuals for the following position:

Location: Abuja

Employment Type: Full-time

Reporting to: Head of Anaesthesia

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct pre-anaesthesia review and evaluation for surgical inpatients and outpatients.

2. Perform post-anaesthesia evaluation of surgical patients.

3. Conduct post-anaesthesia ward-rounds and review patients in the PACU.

4. Document all ward rounds conducted by the Consultant Anaesthetist.

5. Actively participate in patient resuscitation.

6. Engage in clinical research activities.

7. Provide supervised anaesthesia and sedation for patients in remote locations such as MRI suites, CT-scan rooms, and dental offices.

8. Deliver clinical presentations at least once a week.

9. Attend organized lectures and training sessions as outlined by the department.

10. Practice clinical anaesthesia and participate in clinical presentations and clerkship.

11. Fulfill call duty responsibilities.

12. Contribute to the pre-anaesthesia clinic by reviewing patients.

13. Teach Anaesthetic technicians.

14. Perform any other duties assigned by the department and management.

Requirements:

1. MBBS Degree.

2. MDCN License.

3. Ability to stand for long periods of time.

4. NYSC Certificate or Exemption Letter.
